Students at Newcastle Academy Celebrate a Strong Set of GCSE Results

Students at Newcastle Academy are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results. 

After much hard work studying and preparing, students at the school, which is part of Windsor Academy Trust, are collecting a set of strong GCSE results and getting ready to take their next steps in their educational journey.

Newcastle Academy students are now looking forward to progressing onto their chosen further education institutions. 

While all students have done incredibly well, there are some standout individual achievements. These include:

• Jessica Shears received 9 in English Language; 8 in French, Geography and Science; 7 in English Literature and 6 in Art, Mathematics and Music, with a Distinction* in Creative iMedia.

• Henry Prosser received 8 in Geography; 7 in Science; 6 in English Literature, History and Mathematics, with a Distinction* in Sport

Collecting GCSE results today,

Dan said:  “Last year I didn’t believe there was a chance but you got me to believe and I am so happy, particularly with my Science grades”

Mrs Shears, parent of a student said: “I am really pleased with the support given to Jess and she will be doing English Literature at Sixth Form”

Miss McCaffrey added: “It was amazing to see screams of joy and I never knew so many could dance so well, some really brilliant moments that are lovely after all the hard work”

Mrs Franks added: “There is no greater joy than witnessing the pure delight of students' faces as they open their results. I am also delighted at the amount of students winning awards in our 500 challenge”. 

Noel Kennedy, Headteacher at Newcastle Academy, said: As you collect your results today, we at Newcastle Academy would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on reaching an important milestone and to thank you for the part you have played in the Newcastle Academy community.

We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved during your time with us. Whether you are moving on to college, sixth form, apprenticeships, employment, or exploring new opportunities, we wish you every success and happiness for the future. I am incredibly proud of how far you have come, embrace the challenges ahead, and continue to believe in yourselves.

Although your journey at Newcastle Academy may be ending, you will always be part of our school family. We would love to hear about your future successes and achievements, so please keep in touch and let us know where your next steps take you.
