Attendance

Excellent attendance is paramount for students to achieve their fullest potential particularly in relation to final outcomes at GCSE. At Newcastle Academy no term time holidays will be authorised. Appropriate proceedings will be followed where unauthorised absence is taken.

An attendance figure of below 90% will trigger involvement from external agencies including Education Welfare Officers or VIP Education.

If your child is going to be absent for any reason you MUST TELEPHONE the school’s absence line on 01782 667650 or email on office@newcastle.academy letting us know the reason, and when the child is expected to return to school.
